Never forget to return or renew any book you have borrowed from the ULB Münster. Save money and time with Bib-Alarm!

Bib-Alarm reminds you every time the loan of any of the books you have borrowed from the ULB expires! At a time you can choose and on a due date of any of the books, Bib-Alarm sends you not only a notification but also enables you to renew it via your smartphone if the book is renewable.

With Bib-Alarm you can also manage your loans easily. Bib-Alarm’s book list gives you an overview of all the books you have borrowed from the ULB.

In the detailed view you can see additional information about the loan status of the books such as when they are due back, whether they are renewable, where they are to be returned and how many times they have already been renewed.

If it is possible to renew a book, you can do this from the detailed view or by long-clicking on the book's entry in the list view.

Bib-Alarm also collects local statistics showing you how much money you have saved using Bib-Alarm.

Note about the permissions: We only use permissions that are necessary to ensure the correct functionality of the app. Currently, Bib-Alarm requires the following permissions:

- android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: This permission is necessary to check if your Wifi is enabled, to save mobile data.
- android.permission.INTERNET: This permission is required to access the database of the library.
- android.permission.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: If you shutdown or reboot your handset Android will remove all reminders. In order to re-enable the reminders after a shutdown we require this permission.
android.permission.VIBRATE: It is necessary to initiate a vibration alarm when a lending period expires. This can be disabled in the settings dialog.
com.android.vending.CHECK_LICENSE: Using this permission we can verify if you have purchased the app from the Google Play store.
